2008 Fall Collegium Advance Notice
WHEN: November 10-12, 2008
WHERE: Stillpoint Lodge of Halibut Cove (out of Homer, AK)

Retreat format, emphasis on prayer, Scripture, silence and rest.

Stillpoint Lodge is an amazing place, dedicated to creating a space for deepening the spirit. Please take time to see the pictures of the lodge at www.stillpointlodge.com.

Because calendars fill up so quickly, we wanted to be sure you had the dates penciled in for November 10-12, 2008. We will carpool from Anchorage for those who fly in or live in that area, leaving by 8:00 a.m. to catch the boat in Homer around 1:00 p.m. We will return to the Homer dock midday on the 12th to drive back to Anchorage. (There is the option of staying an extra day for those who might want more time in retreat.) More details to come soon. Peace, Pr. Marcia Wakeland

Central Lutheran Taize : 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 7pm; Holden Evening Prayer, 7 pm 2nd & 4th Thursdays. These services focus on young adults but are not limited to them. The services are contemplative: no "sermon," space for song, prayer and reflection.

Region 1 Resource Center has moved to Trinity Lutheran College, Issaquah, WA. They will continue to serve the current client base. Video and DVD checkouts will be available this fall. Phone: 425-961-5782 or email for information.

The Eastern North Dakota Synod offers Alaska Synod congregations FREE access to their Resource Center. This is a gift to us, since our Region 1 Resource Center is closed. Log on, search, and uncover a wealth of material.

We always want to try to keep up with congregational events on this page.
