THE GOAL -- MISSION EMPHASIS
In response to Alaska Synod Assembly Resolution 96-6 TEAM was established to
begin a synodical mission emphasis. Congregations or groups of congregations are
invited to submit proposals for projects which:

emphasize growth and
development of ministries
require a synod
commitment not to exceed two years
address one of the
following combined synod goals and ministry emphases: (May 2007)
 We
will celebrate and empower all the baptized to proclaim the Gospel in
We
will live out our gratitude for God’s gracious abundance, despite the challenges
of limited resources, doing the work of God’s Kingdom of serving,
inviting and connecting.
We
will work to help assure that the young and the poor will thrive and be nurtured
in the Christian faith while empowering them to seek voice and justice in our
communities.
Two separate request
for proposal forms exist. One is for large TEAM grants exceeding $3,000 and the
other for fire starter grants for $3,000 or less. Please use the appropriate
form. If you use the online form, make sure you check the appropriate button:
Firestarter or Large Grant.
Proposals for large TEAM grants will
be reviewed by the TEAM committee which will evaluate and forward complete
proposals to the synod council. If approved by the synod council, funding would
begin in a timely manner as called forth in the proposal.
Proposals for “fire starter” grants of
$3,000 or less will be evaluated by the TEAM Committee and funded upon the
recommendation of that committee.
To apply, please complete either the form
for a large TEAM grant or the form for the “fire starter” $3,000 or less grant
and mail or deliver to the synod office. |
